Update on Project Ojibwa
Well nothing is happening, just wanted to let everyone know I'm still here waiting and waiting and waiting...... There is another Harbour front meeting on November 9th, I'm sure they will discuss that there is no estimated time of arrival for the Ojibwa and they are working out a few details. Of course they have said this the last few meetings. Maybe now that the municipal election is over they can now tell everyone that it will not be coming after all.

Bayham Harbourfront Committee meeting on Project Ojibwa
On October 12th the harbourfront committee got together for their monthly meeting, one of the topics of course was Project Ojibwa. To give a bit of an update there was some limited information in the minutes. There are some issues regarding the transport being worked on. Not sure what this means however it seems very vague, and there is no specific time-frame for the move. The minutes are as follows "In response to questions, the committee was advised that the timing of the actual move is not confirmed at this time." While all of this was being discussed the Elgin Military Museum said that their fund raising was proceeding as well. Just a friendly word of advice don't count your chickens until they have all hatched. At least get confirmation that this is going to happen, keep in mind there is not much time left to move the sub before the seaway closes for the winter. I again should point out the grant money runs out as of March 31 2011.
